At the end of October we celebrated in Cordoba the first transnational meeting of our project “A Journey in Time”. With our colleague teachers of Calenzano, Lisbon and Ribeira, we held work sessions in order to define the details of the project and the tasks to be carried out in the months to come. Besides, we attended the training course on “Augmented Reality” intended to the elaboration of the “Cosimo III Digital Travel Guide”.

Particularly pleasant were the visits to those places mentioned in the chronicle: the Mosque, the churches of San Francisco and San Agustín, the Corredera Square, the Alcázar and the Monastery of San Jerónimo de Valparaíso. The latter we were allowed to visit through the kindness of its current owners.

In connection with the ethnic minorities of Cosme III’s age, we also visited the synagogue and the Mudejar Chapel of San Bartolomé.

One morning we were kindly received in the Visitor Reception Center, where we delivered a copy of our project to the person in charge of the center, in front of the inscription commemorating the visit to Cordoba of Cosimo III in which a fragment of his chronicle is included. In some way we feel for a moment to be representatives of such an illustrious visitor.

Naturally, there was also time to enjoy friendly and relaxed conversations while savoring the culinary delights of our land. It was to be expected that the beauty of Córdoba would enchant our partners; but also, the mutual sympathy that was established from the beginning has made of these days a fruitful combination of work and pleasure.
